Who Can Apply

  • For Undergraduate (UG) Programme: 10+2 or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks.
  • For SC/ST candidates applying to the UG Programme, the minimum mark requirement is 40%.
  • Candidates appearing for their Class 12th board exams in the year of admission are eligible to apply.
  • For Postgraduate (PG) Programme: LL.B. Degree or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).
  • There is no upper age limit for applying to either the UG or PG programmes.

Is there an age limit for CLAT?+

No upper age limit for UG and PG.

Can I change my NLU preferences or reservation category after submitting the form?+

No. Once the application form is finally submitted and the fee is paid, the Consortium does not allow candidates to change their program, category, BPL field, or NLU preferences.

Are final-year college students eligible for the CLAT PG exam?+

Yes. Candidates appearing for their qualifying examination (LL.B.) in the year of admission are eligible to apply, provided they can submit the final result at the time of admission.
