How to Apply for National Bamboo Mission

  1. 1Contact your State Bamboo Mission, or the state department that runs NBM (agriculture, horticulture or forest).
  2. 2Ask which bamboo species and activities your state has approved in its annual action plan.
  3. 3Apply with your land and bank details as your state asks.
  4. 4Once approved, plant certified planting material, at least 375-450 plants per hectare for field plantations.
  5. 5Keep the plants alive. The 2nd and 3rd year payments depend on at least 80% survival after year 1 and full survival (with replacements) after year 2.
